BACKGROUND
Carrie is a native Wiscon-esotan (Wisconsinite and Minnesotan). She was born in Minnesota and raised back and forth between both states. She graduated from Barron High School, Wisconsin in 2005 and attended college first at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota before graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
After many years of being away from Barron County and living in the Twin Cities she decided it was time to move back home where the air is fresh, the trees are colorful, the yards are large, the water is clean, and the stars are like glitter in the night sky.
She currently lives in Cumberland with her husband, Nickolas, and their dogs Lando and Pippin. Her favorite part about being back home is having family close by; especially her niece, Piper, and nephew, Bram.

When it comes to acupuncture, Carrie is your go-to expert. Her strength is in combining Traditional Chinese and Western Medical theories to treat your main complaint in the strongest, fastest, and most effective way possible.
Her specialties are in pain management, stress/anxiety reduction, sports medicine, and cosmetic acupuncture. She also enjoys doing any kind of general health treatment and women's health! She understands that each client she treats has a unique path to health and she enjoys creating that personalized experience for each person she cares for.
SPECIALTIES
Carrie is a Licensed Acupuncturist in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. She attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She holds a diplomate in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Before graduating she gained over 2,000 hours in acupuncture and herbal medicine experience at De Rusha Clinic in Bloomington, MN, Bloomington Natural Care Center in Bloomington, MN, Pillsbury House in Minneapolis, MN, Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and at the Human Performance Center in Bloomington, MN where she treated professional athletes.
Before opening Blackbird Acupuncture Clinic in Rice Lake, WI she worked as an Acupuncturist at Peak Life Clinic in Excelsior, MN.
