Microneedling and nanoneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a needling machine to create continuous, controlled punctures into specific layers. We incorporate lab-grade serums into every treatment and tailor them to each client and their skincare needs. Both services induce skin cell turnover, serum infusion, and provoke the healing process to improve the skin's health and appearance without chemicals or lasers. Using these techniques semi-regularly will trigger the bodies repair process until the desired level of skin rejuvenation is achieved. 

 

Microneedling uses a needle cartridge using twelve 33-gauge needles that access the papillary dermis to improve skin tone and texture, firmness as well as reducing scars, pore size, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and signs of aging, hair loss, and other cosmetic concerns. In addition to the above benefits, micro needling targets the layer of skin that makes collagen and elastin and encourages these fibers to repair and regenerate. Microneedling can increase the skin's ability to utilize serums and nutrients by up to 3,000%.

Nanoneedling uses a cartridge using 81 microscopic silicone cones that separate the cells within the epidermis and infuse it with active serums and hydration. Nanoneedling affects only the upper .15mm of skin which makes it perfect to use on delicate skin like that around the eyes. Nanoneedling can increase the skin's ability to utilize serums by up to 98%.

Blackbird Acupuncture Clinic uses a needling machine specifically created for acupuncturists and healthcare workers; it's a medical grade pen with an adjustable needle depth of 0.15mm to 2.5mm and an adjustable speed of 3,000 to 18,000rpm. The depth and speed are crucial for top-of-the-line results without tugging or tearing of the skin. As with all of our needles, the machine uses needle cartridges that are one-time-use, disposable needles with anti-backflow technology to ensure a clean and safe procedure.

Fun fact: this machine was designed from a Traditional Chinese needle called the plum blossom or seven-star needle.
