Needling the face directly stimulates the layer of skin containing collagen and elastin prompting an increase in the production of these two fibers. The micro traumas produced from the needles signal immune cells, hormones, and oxygenated blood to the area to begin tissue repair. The results are brighter, plumper, smoother, tighter and glowing skin.
 

The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol uses many tiny needles in acupuncture points on the face and body to treat skin-related issues and facial muscles. Body needles assists us in treating underlying conditions to allow for full healing and beauty from the inside out. 

 

Microneedling and nanoneedling uses a needling machine to treat skin-related issues. This procedure needles the entire surface area of the face unlike cosmetic acupuncture which focuses on specific acupuncture points and their functions. Acupuncture/body needling is not included in this service.
